Web development
We design custom websites for organisations that want to exist online seriously, without unnecessary technical overhead and without long-term traps. Our approach is grounded in WordPress, high accessibility standards, and a constant attention to maintainability. You know exactly what you’re buying, who writes the code, and how the site can evolve after delivery.
What a website should really do
A website isn’t an online brochure. It’s a working tool for your organisation, and an entry point for the people you serve. We build websites that do both at once.
Our angle
For your internal team, we build sites that your team can evolve without needing to call us for every change. No obscure back-office, no technical blockers. Content, pages, news, resources: you keep control.
For your users, we design for the people who will actually visit the site. That means a site that’s fast, accessible (including for people with disabilities), readable on every device, and that respects its visitors’ attention: no intrusive popups, no unnecessary tracking, no design that exploits inattention.
For the long term, we write clean, documented code, based on recognised standards. The day you work with someone else, which will happen sooner or later, they’ll be able to take over the site without rewriting everything
How we work
-
Onboarding
1 - 2 days
No generic brief: a real dialogue to identify what needs to be built, why, for whom, and against what success criteria.
-
Design
1 - 2 weeks
You see what the site will look like long before it's developed.
-
Development
3 - 6 weeks
We build the site. We'll grant you access to the staging environment where you can see progress, test, and let us know what needs adjusting.
-
Launch and follow-up
1 - 2 days
Going live, training your team to administer the site. Then on-demand follow-up over the following month, the time your team needs to fully take over

Frequently asked questions
How long does a project take?
It depends on the scope, but as a rule: 6 to 8 weeks for a small project, 3 to 4 months for a mid-scale project, 5 to 8 months for a large-scale one. We give a detailed schedule after the scoping phase.
How long does a site you deliver last?
Barring a decisive technological revolution, our sites are built to function without a major redesign for 5 to 6 years, provided technical updates are taken care of (by your team, by us, or by another competent provider). Our ongoing technology watch allows us to advise you, throughout that time, on any changes worth considering.
What happens if ideanest stops its activity?
All our projects are built on open standards (WordPress, documented code, common technologies). If we were to cease our activities, we could entrust the site to any serious WordPress developer without difficulty. In any case, we would do everything we can to make the transition as smooth as possible.
Do you use AI to build sites from A to Z?
No. We use artificial intelligence the way we use code forums: to debug, to find ways to optimise code, or simply to avoid security flaws. Ideanest creates the work when AI helps along the way.
What are the recurring costs after delivery?
Without a maintenance contract with ideanest, you can expect hosting, domain name, licenses, or certain premium plugins when necessary. Count generally between €360 and €800 per year depending on complexity. There are no hidden costs: we communicate everything from the scoping phase.
Maintenance, if you opt in, is billed at €100/month excl. VAT.
Why WordPress and not a custom site or an online builder?
WordPress remains, in 2026, the best compromise between power, autonomy for your team, partner ecosystem, and reasonable cost. Online builders (Wix, Squarespace) lock you into their platform. Pure custom development costs 3 to 5 times more for often marginal benefits. For the vast majority of projects, well-built WordPress is the right choice.
Do you offer maintenance after delivery?
Yes, but only for organisations with which we have built the project, or where a prior technical audit has been requested. We do not take on maintenance for sites we haven’t developed (except in specific cases of recovery, which falls under our Support service).
