Consulting

We support organisations that want to make the right decisions about their digital presence, before, during, or after a project. Audits, senior input, training, strategy: work of judgement and experience, not production. What you buy is senior thinking applied to your specific context.

Consulting

Why consulting, now

Digital execution is becoming a commodity. Anyone can generate a website, an identity, or a piece of text with tools that produce fast and cheaply.

Our vision

What’s becoming rare, and therefore valuable, is judgement. Knowing what to produce, in what order, for whom, with which trade-offs. That’s exactly what senior consulting brings.

Good advice earns back more than it costs. A right decision made early saves you months of work in the wrong direction. An honest audit saves you from rebuilding a site that didn’t need it, or holding on to a strategy that no longer works. The return on senior consulting is often invisible: it shows in the mistakes you didn’t make.

The consulting we offer is never a way of selling the production that follows. You can consult us without giving us the next step, and that’s actually the healthiest working setup. Our independence from production is what makes our perspective useful.

We work on real situations, not on generic frameworks. Every consulting engagement begins with a precise scoping of your context, your question, and what you expect from the deliverable. No off-the-shelf answer, no pre-prepared slides.

Our consulting engagements

Here are the engagements we run most often. Each can be adapted to your specific context.

  1. Audits

Audits of existing sites (technical, UX, performance, SEO, accessibility). Editorial audits (content, narrative structure, tone of voice). Brand audits (visual coherence, variations, usage). AIO audits (adaptation to AI engines and LLMs).

  2. Strategy

Defining an overall digital strategy: where your organisation should position itself online, with which tools, on which channels, on what timeline. Communication strategy, editorial strategy, brand strategy.

  3. Decision support

Help with defining a brief before launching a call for tenders. Help with choosing a provider (reviewing proposals, the right questions to ask, points to negotiate). Senior second opinion on a decision under way.

  4. Training

Training your team on specific tools or topics: SEO, AIO, accessibility, CMS management, editorial best practices, brand identity management.

Consulting doesn't serve everyone. Here are two cards to help you place yourself.

This is for you if:

  • You have a project under way and want an outside senior view to avoid heading in the wrong direction
  • You're starting a project and want to rely on someone who has seen many similar cases
  • You have a site, a brand, or a tool that's causing problems and you're looking for a clear diagnosis
  • You want to build skills in-house, in yourself or your team, rather than delegate everything
  • You want to consult without committing to the production that follows (and that's perfectly fine)

This isn't for you if:

  • You're looking for someone who validates what you've already decided, without challenging it
  • You expect universal answers that apply regardless of your context
  • You want free or symbolic advice in exchange for a production project
  • You want decisions made for you, without your involvement
  • You're looking for the lowest price rather than the right level of expertise

Frequently asked questions

How does a consulting engagement work?

Every engagement starts with a first conversation, free of charge (30 to 45 minutes), to understand your context and your question. If we believe we’re the right people to help, we send you a structured proposal with scope, deliverables, schedule, and price. Once validated, we start. For audits, most of the work happens on our time. For day-based engagements, we work in person or by video call, in direct interaction with you or your team.

What can you actually help me with?

Anything to do with your digital presence and the decisions around it: technical and strategic audits, choice of tools or providers, strategy definition, team training, project support, ad-hoc senior input. If your need lies outside our field of expertise, we’ll tell you and point you in the right direction.

What are the deliverables of a consulting engagement?

It depends on the engagement. An audit results in a structured written deliverable (between 15 and 40 pages depending on depth), with diagnosis, prioritised recommendations, and a proposed action plan. A strategy day results in a written summary with decisions made and next steps. A training session results in a written document your team keeps. The deliverable is always defined in the initial proposal.

Do I have to give you the production work afterwards?

No. The consulting we offer is independent from production. You can consult us to make decisions, then work with whomever you choose for execution. That’s what guarantees the objectivity of our perspective.

How long does a consulting engagement take?

A focused audit takes a minimum of 1 week and can be extended up to 2 – 3 weeks from kick-off to final deliverable. A comprehensive audit: 3 to 5 weeks. A day or half-day is generally scheduled within 2 to 3 weeks. For longer engagements, the schedule is set together at proposal stage.

Do you work remotely or in person?

Both. Scoping phases often benefit from being in person or in a long video call. Analysis phases happen on our side. Deliverable presentations work in either mode. We’re based in Belgium and love to travel. For engagements outside Belgium, we work by video call.

Do you use AI in your consulting engagements?

AI is a tool we use for certain analyses (notably for AIO audits, or for content analysis at large volume). But the judgement, the diagnosis, the recommendations, and the strategy come from our human experience, not from a language model.

Why are your rates higher than other consultants I've contacted?

Because we sell senior time, not junior time. Fifteen years of experience applied to your context make the difference between advice that moves you forward and advice that repeats what you already knew. If your budget doesn’t match our level of intervention, we can point you toward more junior consultants who are serious about their work.
